I have a BA in Marketing from a small liberal arts college. Over fifteen years ago, I began my professional career in marketing working as marketing director for a real estate exchange company (1031 exchanges). I discovered my love of design as the marketing director for this company. Since it was a small company, I found myself not only charged with crafting the marketing plan, but I was also designing all creative content, advertisements and marketing material, essentially acting as marketing director, creative director, and graphic designer all in one. Although real estate exchanges do not call for highly design-driven and creative branding and marketing, the creative direction and designing were the parts of the process that I enjoyed the most. In 2011, I attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for some formal training in graphic design, but I am largely self-taught in design and its tools. Over the last fifteen years, I have created a niche of marrying business and creative design, resulting in a design source that is not only creative but professionally manages projects.

Architectural and interior design have always been a passion of mine. As a child I enjoyed drawing homes and their interiors, and I went through countless pieces of paper drawing homes inside and out: elevations, floorplans, and interior layout. This love of home design waited patiently for an outlet in my adult life, until in 2020-2021 we built our family home in North Denver in collaboration with Unum Home. Starting with Unum’s modern take on a Dutch Colonial, I was tasked with selecting the interior and exterior finishes of the home, as well as furnishing it once completed. The home was completed in early 2021 and the professional landscaping was designed and installed shortly thereafter. The home has a modern, clean Scandinavian feel and was a very special opportunity for me to design our home.
